Beasted the shoulders…

I’ve never had shoulder muscles. Had it been the 80s with shoulder pads I may of gone un noticed. When I used to use the machines in gym, I always hated and failed at the shoulder press. Not sure why, but with even alittle weight I felt as tho I was lifting a London bus. When it comes to building a aesthetic and impressive body nothing is more important than big broad shoulders. A well formed set of ‘boulders ‘ is the foundation of the v-taper hat makes for a head turning physique. The V-taper is achieved with muscular shoulders, fully developed lats and a small waistline. So hitting body beasts shoulder workout this evening was a challenge. Especially as the rest of the family got stuck into a sweet smelling Chinese meal on this cold Friday night. It hits your shoulders from all angles…something I never achieved before, always using the shoulder press and just hitting the medial deltoid. I also found myself using the lighter weights to avoid injury and maintain correct form. Something Sagi highlights throughout the workout – if it get to heavy, drop the weights and make it to the end, don’t cheat yourself. All in all it’s a killer workout which I felt got harder as I progressed. Mainly as my muscles were failing fast! This however reinforced the importance of recording my reps/weights…..in weeks to come I hope to be finding this a lot easier and on paper I will clearly be able to see progress or need for adjustment.Have a great weekend all! I’m off for a Epson salt bath in peace 🙂 Dobbs
