Wow! This ones a blast. High intensity workouts followed by weight training. The best of both worlds. It did worry me doing pure weight training programs that my cardiovascular system wasn’t getting a big enough hit…but on the plus side I loved the growth just lifting was giving.
Typically, a HIIT workout will range from 10 to 30 minutes in duration.
Despite how short the workout is, it can produce health benefits similar to twice as much moderate-intensity exercise.
So day one of LIFT4 was a shock to the system. Starting off with lifts was pretty simple…I was used to that….but 20mins in the workout turned to HIIT and my body took a beating. I was struggling. But made it to the end – all these working outs range between 30 – 40 mins so anyone can fit it into a bust schedule….there’s no excuses peeps. Also as a reward you get three rest days!! What more could you want? Trust me however you will need them after these workouts. Luckily I had my Isagenix sups to keep me on top form and recover well afterwards.
Have to admit I was feeling pretty sluggish…the type of day you just want to crawl back into bed and forget the world – zero energy and motivations.
Took this beast ten mins before and powered through. Really does give you the boost to beat the fatigue and get shit done.
Anyways I’m off to enjoy my rest day with a nice coffee and a book…
